Default Info appreciated

Hello again, it has been some time since my last post, You may recall I was coming up in May However, a job came up at a mine in N.V. so I desided to save a little more $. So here I am looking North again and thank you all for your prior suggestions and information. My current question is in regard to Peak Oil Field Services as there may be a possible position with them in the capacity of an equipment operator, blade, dozer, ect; building ice roads. So any insight would be helpful. Thanks much.

That's for sure. They do a lot of work all over Prudhoe Bay, Deadhorse, and beyond.

That is a great opportunity - don't hesitate & good luck in your quest!

Hi there! Being a recent transplant myself, I would strongly recommend at least one of you having a job before moving to a new state, especially the state of Alaska. As others have said, it is remote and very unforgiving if you find yourself without a steady source of income. The people here are phenomenal and very helpful, but there are a lot of folks that have fallen on hard times and are struggling to make ends meet. If you do some solid research and planning, have a job and a financial cushion, you will be able to enjoy Alaska a lot more with a lot less stress!!! Best of luck to you and your family. It is definitely a dream worth reaching for!!!

Thanks stew&sue, what you have suggested is exactly my plan I have been saving for a couple of years now. It is just myself, I was going to come last summer, job or not but put it off for a job here and to save a little more so that I might avoid the difficulties you have outlined. Then the job with the company I have been inquiring about came to my attention, so maybe it will happen sooner? Should know this week. Thank you for your sound advise it is appreciated. Epsilon...
