Unreal. Well actually it isn't at all hard to believe. Still, what the hell man? Why do people have to constantly attack people who are different than them? I mean, I know it's usually out of fear, but how silly. And I still don't understand how being gay is a "lifestyle". Or how it is an "immoral lifestyle". I would much rather see gay people who love each other get married than straight people who will just get divorced in six months.

It's always been immoral. I don't mind if they do it. That's their business. Just don't shove it in my face and call it entertainment. I don't think "sex" of any kind should be glorified on the big screen or the little one. When the Hollywierdos do that they just devalue it. They make it into nothing but a biological function. Might as well have a show about the relief constipated people feel after getting a big dose of Exlax and taking a giant poo..... Yep, my beliefs are puritanical in nature.

Well at least you admit it. That's the first step, you know.

And usafracer, wow man. Great representation of the armed forces, you intolerant bigot. And "your" state, eh? Don't know for sure in your case but, um, you're an Air Force dude. Your previous locations says "too many to list". Chances are you're stationed in Alaska at Eielson, right? For chrissake, your state my behind. I even read a book not long ago by an Air Force guy who was stationed at Eielson, was going to live in North Pole, found it to be too much of a goofy commercial wasteland, and ended up at Harding Lake. You're exactly the kind of guy he so accurately stereotyped in his book. I'm not even gay and that kind of bigotry makes me see red. It's appalling, and it's extremely immature.

It's a little bit unclear how it even ended up in this thread...

You know what...I wouldn't do it. My place would make for some pretty entertaining reality programming...but I wouldn't do it. In fact I'd close up shop first. Some things are more important than money.

Does anyone here know how many hours of Alaska Reality TV you have to watch before you can claim residency in the state and get an oil dividend check?

It's based on a point system...you get so many points for watching so many hours of a certain show. Some shows are worth more points than others. Once you reach the required points, voila you're a resident. It's really complicated and can take a very long time. I saw the conversion chart somewhere and think it involves a punch card too.
