Pat and Jazzy, I do the same, I don't have a good bread knife right now to cut in warm, and don't want it all smushed up

I like it can be sweet or savory! Not sure about up there, but down here they also use as a tortilla for tacos, burritos, etc. On my drive down here, I stopped on the reservation and got a really good cheeseburger in fry bread, though I picked off the jalapenos

Looks wonderful. I bake my own bread most of the time. The store bought stuff is vile. I use a double rise method with scalded milk, honey, and butter.

For some reason my bread always turns out like lead :\ I may be tempted to try that recipe as it looks pretty foolproof.
About that store bought bread, we got some 'chicken bread' from the hostess store last winter, some of it lasted 3 months before it went mouldy, I found that kind of worrysome

If your bread is turning out like lead; its because you didn't use enough liguids or you used too much flour.

Pretty much so. The dough has to feel a certain way, has to have a certain elasticity to it. It takes practice to get it down but once you do you never forget.
