Question Gas pipeline

What kinda timeline is there for the construction of the natural gas pipeline? I have a friend that wants to move to Alaska to work on the construction of it. Who would he contact? Is it still just in the negotiations? Where would I go to get more information?

Still waiting for corporations to get involved. No company has come forward to lay some money down. Engineering is still not complete, etc.

Be a better idea to run the natural gas through the existing 48 inch crude line and build a new crude pipeline.

You heard it here first.

Thumbs down Don't hold your breath

I will believe that they will build the gas pipeline when they start building the bridge across the Knik Arm they've been talking about since 1980.

Default Promises, Promises

Let us see now. When is the road to Juneau going in? Haines been talking about a natural gas line for how long? There is a rumor the road (#5) from the border of Yukon Terr. through Chicken to Tetlin will be paved. I don't think it is fair to cite other rumors but I don't expect to see any of the above come to fruitation in my lifetime. So, gas line job seekers, don't hold your breath.
