Something like "PETA: People Eat Tasty Animals"?

I have seen that bumper sticker all over Fairbanks, but usually on pickup trucks.

Now your going to tell me it has 300,000 miles on it and it's looking shakey?

I'm sure you got a good deal and worth every penny!
Smiles,

It looks okay, no shaking and it has under less that mileage too.

It does sound a bit like a sewing machine but, doesn't bother me if its got what it takes.

I got a very decent deal, just under the book value.

Yay.

It's got AWD and ABS which is cool and all, but I can't put chains on it. I will be driving with a ton of stuff, so space is going to be at a premium. Do you think I'd be able to get by on the 4 new all-weather tires I've got on it or am I going to be screwed?

//edit this link makes me think I'd be alright, but personal experiences in this matter would be appreciated - A New Substitute for Studded Tires?
Nobody ever uses chains up here. I've tried all the different tire types (even did "bald" one winter) and I would say the tires you have will be "ok" but when its time to replace them, get studless snow tires and leave them on all year. They don't have to be changed twice a year like having studs, and the traction seems to be just about as good anyway. Once the studs get a little worn they can actually make things worse in some cases.
