By bush do you mean Western Alaska or just not on the road system?

Rampart is not in Western Alaska, it's in the interior. OP...why are you curious about Rampart? I don't think very many people live there. In fact city-data says that in 2007 there were only 40 residents. That is a small town even for the bush.

I think a lot of have lived in bush villages, me included, and some still do.

Rampart is on the Yukon river and is definitely off the road system. Been there a number of times in years past. Close knit town, most residents are related.

Not much for jobs, except for a small school.

Nice view of the river from most of the houses though.

Isn't there a very established 4x4 trail (almost a road) from Eureka on the Elliot Highway to Rampart?

Well if want to get there with a four wheeler, put it on a plane or boat.

It's on the south side of the Yukon River. Eureka is on the North side, so I'd say "No" to your question.

If there was such a trail, you clearly don't want to try taking it if you have to ask.
