You will not be taking any of those handguns through Canada.

I talk a can of "bear spray". I have yet to even feel the need to have a firearm with me while transiting through Canada. Semi-automatic handguns are on the "prohibited" list.

You can get it in Canada too. As I recall, certain types of spray may not be allowed in Canada. If you're not planning on camping out, I wouldn't worry about bears.

It must be marked "bear spray" to be able to take it across the border. Otherwise they won't let it in.

Read up on those weapon laws in Canada. Almost all guns are illegal in Canada, exception being long guns and you must have a reason IN CANADA to take them into Canada...

I actually called their "border patrol" office to find out how to do it - and basically, it is more hassle than it is worth. EVEN with you paying for mailing from gun dealer to gun dealer, it still may cheaper to ship it. To me time = money and a lot of time spent showing things to the border patrol is time wasted that I could be driving...
