What a great lake to build your cabin on, Rance. And from looking at topos, it looks like the Harding Ice Field drains into Skilak in addition to the Kenai River. I bet that water looks really cool. Plus your town is right next to a bend in the river so you could just float down there any time you please, eh? That's a mighty nice set-up.

My husband and I want so much to move to Alaska. We have some land there and have been there a few times and we love it. However, we have a little one now and we are not so young. We both have been at our jobs here for many years and are comportable with what we have and what we can offer her. If I knew for certain we would have great jobs to go to in Alaska and her education would be of the standard that she is getting here not to mention health benefits we would probably be ready in no time to move. All these pictures makes me want to go that much more. I know it has got to be the closest thing to heaven.

I just got a message from the paper asking me to submit some photos for them to use. Yay!

Thanks for the settings. I saw some lights in Eagle River this past March but they weren't real strong and my photos didn't turn out so hot.

Congrats on making the paper! The Miner?
