I got VERY burned out on those after they first became popular. It replaced another puzzle we had in the paper here that I liked much better. Whereas Sudoku is a puzzle of logic, the other was a puzzle of mathematics. Both are great though, and every once in a while I will still pick up a Sudoku puzzle to solve.

Logic Problems; Cryptograms, Sudoku - I love to solve hard difficult challenging thought problems!

chess is my alltime favorite.

The problem(s) with sudoku is all you are left with is a bunch of #'s that don't mean anything. Except the correct placement order and there is more than one solution.

Cryptograms teach you something in the form of a sentence or quote. I've learned lots of kewl things from cryptograms. "If you want to have long lasting bubbles in your bath; use powered milk.

Logic problems will prove to anyone real quick; "you don't know how to read"! (those are my favorite puzzles out of all of them). A half dozen simple sentences that can get anyone so confused so quickly! Hours & hours are spent trying to figure out those simple statements!
