My latest project on my new 10 acres. Just need to backfill with more gravel to get rid of lake I created with my last gravel project! It's a 20 foot steel geodesic dome covered in 4+ inches of closed cell spray foam. I think it looks like an igloo, Don't laugh at least it's not a school bus! I have ~ 15k into the whole project including the 10 acres.

I am now officially done renting in fox, and moving into my very own "house" in Delta Junction. It comes complete with a homemade barrel stove and I built it all myself. Let's see how it holds up. Only in Alaska! Just have to finish up the finishing touches.

Well done 6.7traveler! A wonderful creation! I had seen this idea in the Soviet journal "Science and Life" 30 years ago. By the way, is a rigid frame made of aluminum bars? Are these bars bonded with bolts? Or another anything?

Thanks for the interest. It's made of schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe. However the next one I make will be made out of lighter gauge material. Rance here is a picture of a greenhouse version I built in Homer. I hope to tweak and perfect the design and become a certified greenhouse builder so people can use the grant money to get them the same way as high tunnels.

Here's a cool shot, most airline pilots start out in small commuter planes and work their way up in hours to fly in Jetliners. Here's a Yute Air Cessna 207 landing in Bethel and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner flying over town at 36K feet.
