Does KEH have any D200's or D300's.... ?
thanks for all the input....I wish that I had posted before as I didn't get to read all your posts until after I got back from the purchase. I did end up buying the camera at a better price than the asking price. It has hardly been used as she couldn't figure out how to use it!!! I like the "feel and balance" of the camera in my hand.
I figure it is a good camera to learn with then I will put it up for sale and upgrade. Given the prices on the keh.com site that might be sooner than later!!! I would like a Nikon D300 with a 50-500 lens!

So tell me, you all can just go walking around like that up there and no one is going to come after you with a shotgun for trespassing and there is no fence to keep you out and no Sheriffs dept to harass you for traveling on a road your not often traveled??? I bet that must be an amazing and very liberating thing.. not to mention beautiful.. lucky you..I can't wait to have that kind of freedom to hike.. 9 more months!!

Hell I got pulled over last week for being a "suspicious vehicle" on a gravel road and got ticketed because my tag light was not "bright enough"... funny thing is I was on my way to the race track and the only way to get there is ON gravel roads....grrrrr.... oh well.. I made some extensive road work for them to take care of later that night.. you know how hard it is to get red clay mud off your truck..

You might want to consider the D300s...and I assume you are talking about the Sigma 50-500mm...also remember this lens does not have Optical Stabilizer function and will require something steady to rest it on at high zoom...but the Sigma 150-500mm does have the Optical Stabilizer function.

But the good news is either lens will work on your D80 and the D300(s).

50-500MM

A friend of mine will be selling his D300.
One year old camera with 2 lenses. Well taken care of. He wants to upgrade to a D700 I think for his new business plans.
Send me DM and I can hook you's up...
