Really nice Aurora shots!
I took a bunch last night and a couple just now. The lights are going nuts out there.

Beautiful, Georganne! Totally mind-blowing. A friend of mine in Vermont actually got some pictures of the lights over Lake Willoughby recently, and they are pretty incredible too. It's pretty cool, up until about 6 months ago, I had no idea that you could see the Northern Lights from the lower 48, which is funny because I have been to Vermont so many times (and even lived there for a month) but never saw the Aurora. Still, very awesome!

I have seen them in Plattsburgh (across Burlington and Lake Champlain).

Flying in from Minneapolis last night, they were spectacular from 9:30 to 11:30 AK time. At 30,000 feet!
Unfortunately I had an isle seat and the corncob sitting by the window wouldn't trade me seats for 10 minutes to shoot.

Boy... all of you are amazing... Tigre79... you pics are breath taking too... I wasn't sure what "highmarking" was because perhaps there aren't any mountains here is Wisconsin? ... found this ... so now I know
