all the paint matches on that Yute 207, amazing! On my last trip out that way, I flew back from Chevak in a Yute 207 that looked to be patched together from a couple different planes and a hole in the dashboard with wires hanging out. During our flight the pilot started eating his sandwich, all I could think of was him choking on it at altitude.

Kwethluk is a half hour drive on the river up from here. Akiachak is about 40 minutes, another half hour to Akiak from Akiachak. Fun day yesterday. We're having a blizzard as we speak, this will cover the Ice Road back up, I'm sure.

Was supposed to meet up with my neighbors in Talkeetka who live in Soldotna and snowshoe in to check up on my cabin but they couldn't make the drive due to bad driving conditions down on the Peninsula. Guess it will have to wait until May...hope the snow is gone by then!

Got to spend an incredible afternoon on Monday out at GB Jones' kennel in Knik. GB has run several Iditarod's including last years but is now helping Charlie Benja prepare for next years run. Both are great, great guys. Luckily I was able to stay upright and not kill myself.

I can't remember when, but I watched a show on Travel Channel with Adam Rich and he paid a visit to the Roadhouse.
If I recall correctly, the women that owns it only serves eggs that are scrambled. Is that true? I mean, I do like my eggs scrambled as opposed to any other way, but it seems odd.
