Thanks, Rance. No special lense, just a point and shoot canon digital. I think the trick is just taking a gazillion shots til you get some you like. And getting lucky with the lighting. Here's another one, same day:

Luck with lighting has become a GRAND deal for me! I do the same, Wrennie - shoot many shots and know that at least one is going to be decent

...this is me, waiting all morning, trying to get a good shot of some sea otters. (I never did get even one) My son took the picture--we thought it came out cool w/ the rocks.
