That's a nice, useful range and I've heard a lot of good things about it...great job on your posts.

Think 100-400mm instead!!
The 30mm at the wide end isn't that much and you'd love the extra 200mm at the long!

I've been looking at these pictures for a long time in my quietness, never posted anything on the board.... But I can't stay quiet anymore, the pictures are so beautiful!!! You all do such a good job. It's like I can almost hear the water, feel the breeze in the trees, and breathe the fresh air. The mountain pictures are just breath taking. I enjoy this forum so much, I've read lots of the threads, and have learned something about some of you. When Highland Lady had her get together, I wanted to be there!!! And when I saw the picture of some of you I wanted to meet you even more because I'm a redhead, and it was cool to see other redheads!!! I wish Rance and Sweden the very best, I've loved reading about them. And Warpt, you sound like fun....alot of you do. Highland Lady, you sound like such a caring "mother hen" kind of person, someone who would always be there if help was needed, and you take great pictures!!! Redhawk, you take great pcitures too. I can't name all of you, but I sure enjoy you all. This is a fun place to visit, I've learned alot about Alaska..thank you for that.
