Well holy cow! I even know a good company that makes those...maybe you'll get a surprise this Christmas! I just bought a hiking staff/monopod--but it's for a gun, not a camera. That was for myself, for hunting, but the same company makes nice monopods that collapse/break down and are packable...pretty nice!

not bad in price for them either. But I have to get a monfratto with quik release head for my plates that I have already
