Here's an exceedingly significant photograph from a couple days ago.
For me this image is just an extreme thrill, mostly because it is the first of many. Dorothy and I had a long chat, and I'm going to do a few hundred images of her over the next few weeks or months.

She looks as though she has a story to tell, Floyd. I like this.

Hey Floyd, my Grandma from Scammon Bay is going up with my uncle's Yup'ik Dance Group next month. Barrow invited them up to dance at some festival.

Floyd, why is that image "exceedingly significant"? (I'm sorry, I don't know the background, if any). From the viewpoint of photographic technique, it is not very well focused. I can, however, see that it is an interesting face.

Not well focused???? Ya gotta be kidding. (I'll grant that after it is reduced to 900 pixels wide it doesn't look as sharp as the original. But the shallow depth of field is very much on purpose! Who wants to be distracted by the background?)
But I figured I'd let everyone swing in the wind of what is significant about it, at least for awhile. Warpt is the one most likely to pick up on it... I'll merely say that it is obvious, not something that is hidden. But it does require knowing something about Alaska too.
