we were in Anchorage when that happened once, a whole slew of little planes coming in to land at maybe 30second intervals ??
We sat in the parking lot by gottshalks and watched them go over ... you could hear the elastic bands winding down hehe

Jan and I had to go partly into Anchorage today.
Here is Anchorage through the clouds, snow, fog and power plant steam.

Merrill controllers are amazing. They can get planes in and out rapidly. The only thing that seems to cause delays is when Elmendorf is active.
