I think he landed on the airstrip at the end of KGB Rd. The prop was running, just happened to capture it.

The lighting was pretty bad, a lot of it reflecting toward the lens. Luckily the moose was big and filled a good portion of the frame. Used a 400mm Canon prime. The moose was from 45 to 75 yards away.

That is a good shot, is that is up by "Mary Cary's" place (the turnout just North of there)?

I took this about two weeks ago. Was headed to Anchorage and about ten miles South of Cantwell on a clear day, the Moutain was out pretty well, and looked good!



This was taken while flying back home. Looking South at the Mountains just North of Talkeetna while entering Broad Pass...
