Doroshin Bay cabin. Originally built in the 50's by a local homesteader. Used to be a gold mine in the area. A great place to eat hotdogs and sip blackberry brandy.

Wolf tracks on the lake.

Lonely little tree on a rock.

Love that cabin...the caption for the 2nd photo could be:

''Earthlings, I have come in peace''

Very nice photos, Rance.

Forget about eating hotdogs (at least for me. Can't stand the taste). But I would love to stay warm in the cabin for a few days, and having a little charcoal BBQ grill outside for grilling steaks with onions and garlic every now and then. I wouldn't mind a nice cup of Southern AU or Chilean cabernet with the steaks, or even a bottle of Moose Head.

What is "Awesome"? Sorry, I don't understand. I live in Anadyr, Chukotka which as you know closed Alaska. Unfortunately I never visited Wasilla but I was in Nome and Anchorage.

My nickname “Лютый» is written in Russian. It is pronounced as «lyuty» and translated «ferocious». This name Russians call the wolf sometimes. I live in Chukotka, which closed Alaska across the Bering strait. The nature of these two beautiful and wonderful regions is quite similar.
To your attention a little more views of Chukotka

Wow everyone - awesome pictures!!! Warpt - love the color on the sun! Nephler - way cool eagle shots Rance - love the snowmachine pic and the lonely little tree

I took the "girls" to Hatcher's to check out some trails ...it got really cloudy, poor light, but the wind was blowing the peeling bark on this birch tree in a cool way........

Not sure if anyone on this forum speaks Russian.
Either way, welcome
Thank you very much!
I hope that the language barrier will not be an obstacle here.
