Way back in my misguided youth i was friends with a guy who's whole family was russian and spoke it. Sadly all i learned from him was how to say "go to H E double hockey sticks" and the equal term to F U. I have no idea how to spell it though.
Interesting guy though in early 80's his family moved back to mother russia and as soon as the wall fell every kid moved back to the US. He learned a lot about blackmarket dealing while there though. Also smuggled a bunch of russian orthodox church relics with him that had been hidden for decades.

No offense intended friend! Just saying after growing till there teen years here they were happy to come back. The oldest cousin did get married there and stayed till she was almost 30 before moving to Oregon |
