The willows are wonderful. I've never be able to get good macro's.

Those are just close-ups, but I used a Canon 100mm Macro USM lens. Sometimes I use a Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L lens coupled to a 12mm Kenko tube for the same results, but the 100mm macro lens makes close-ups easier without having to use a Kenko tube. with a kenko tube i can place the front glass element right on top of the willow pod, but I prefer close-ups to macro photography.

It's about 4-5 feet thick this year. It was a cold winter and not much snow for until February. It made a lot of ice this year and it hasn't gotten above freezing yet and it's mid April now. I think it'll flood this year.
