Found some two-track's this past weekend, one was in some high land, another ran down to Matanuska River. Then went to Knik River to play a bit.
Also, sunrise from this morning.
From one of the two-tracks

Thanks Moose. A little bit of noise reduction does wonders to clouds, some times.

I had a similar problem with traction about 8 years ago. I was pulled up to a stoplight at the top of a hill in Anchorage, in my old Isuzu Trooper, no studs and not in 4-wheel drive. First snow of the winter, and the car started sliding backwards. Luckily, no one was behind me and I slid all the way to the bottom without a fender bender, but I was afraid of hitting one of the parked cars on my right hand side and sat at the bottom of the hill for about 5 minutes to get the heart rate down to a normal beat.
Needless to say, I put the Trooper into 4-wheel drive and took the long way around the hill. Yep, the seat felt warm and damp.

Nope, being a "driver" they don't do that... There would though, be large chunks of seat missing though where there was some serious "seat grabbing" by the Butt Cheeks trying to assist the seat belts in holding him in place to the seat...

To me, I think he looked more embarassed than anything else, kind of like he took it as a blow to his professional pride, like it was a rookie mistake. It seemes like he was more in a hurry to get out of there before more trucks started arriving (where his friends could see him), particularly when he saw me break out the camera. Can't say I blame him. I didn't look all that gracefull sliding down the road on my backside either!
Of course, the main objective of taking the photos was not to embarass or lay blame on anyone. Simply to share the everyday drama on the Haul Road. As Geo Beach put it..."It's tougher in Alaska!"
