I am now using a Nikon D70. I have yet to sit down and read the 228 page manual. So everything has been taken on auto setting. One of these days I'm gonna try to learn some stuff about using it! I like the camera...but it is a little heavy (size of a 35mm) and carrying around a second lens that weighs as much as the camera can get real annoying going up a mountain.

lol Rance...good idea. My best friend took an Alaskan cruise a couple of summers ago and loved it there so once the next baby is born we would like to take one as well. She is already planning a return trip there! Came home with pictures that made my jaw drop. It's on our things to do before we die list!!

Seriously consider renting a vehicle here and driving through the state as well as cruise. You won't be sorry.

This is good advise
we just got back from a cruise and we have decided the next trip will be a land one
if I have anything to say (and you all know I say a lot ) it may be next summer
