Dude yeah! It's hard to get lost in downtown Juneau, though.

Nah...I think warpt may be onto something here. The tourons would be lost without the mothership of the trinket shops in sight....so just walk them up the hill and lose them....or get them started on the Mt Roberts trailhead...(not from the tram) or take them across to Douglas....oh "There must be 60 ways to lose those tourons. 60 ways to lose those tourons. Just slip out the back, Jack" you get the idea.....

It is. I like the Norwegian vessels, they actually employ Americans in their engineering department. Atleast the Hawaii based ones.

I also like the Dam ships

Cruise ships dump their toilet waste into the harbors. That's why they close the pools when they dock. The water from the pools comes up from pipes that run down the ship vertically and bring up sea water.

Wouldn't it be easier to empty the toilets straight into the pools?

ruffcutt is on a distinguished road
It the Norwegian Star. It's illegal to dump a holding tank withing so many miles from shore. I think its 5 miles, I've also never had them close the pools while there in town for that reason. They do how ever pump millions of dollars into town when they pull in, and they are heavily watched for to make sure they don't do something wrong.... You can get thousands of dollars for turning them in.
