Default return them to the ocean

I plan to return them to the ocean, a sort of catch-and-release program. I'll keep them safely esconced in the middle of a crab pot while they get used to their new-found freedom. Some folks head, gut and smoke them but that's a LOT of trouble for an eight-inch-long fish.

The guys leaving with an entire pickup-truck full were doubtless heading to the rendering pit to make oil. By all accounts, an awesomely smelly business. The story we got was that whoever wakes up with the worst hangover gets to stir the pit, since he's having a rotten day anyway.

Default Cruising the Chena River in town. Fairbanks AK

A Sunday boat ride up the Chena River right through town. Look at the left bank.

A Bull moose calf out for an afternoon snack on the river bank.

yes that is the nature of the interior, one extreme or the other.

Ben a slow start to summer, mabye one or two weeks behind.

Soon the ice will be off the lake and the other boats can get wet.
