Hi, everyone, I have a request, please!
I have to do a presentation in my student nursing class as to why I wanna be a nurse in my chosen field AND why I chose where. I am putting together a powerpoint presentation, and would like to use some of the photos from this thread. Rance, warptman, superbecky79 - I would like to use some of the photos posted, may I? With your permission. I will put your name or postedname as credits on the photos. Is this cool with y'all?
Thanks for all who have posted photos --- Rance, I have a Nikon D50, and absolutely love it... need to play with the settings, sometimes, I will even adjust some of the images in Photoshop, just to make them "pop" with color. Try learning to bracket, then adjust in an HDR program, gives an AWESOME photo. See examples here: Dawns Movements on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Thanks everyone!!

Actually, there is a gondola that goes most of the way, but they grossly overcharge you! Twenty bucks for a two minute ride?! Not on your life. I hiked it, it's about 3,000 ft elevation gain but it's actually not a bad hike. Usually pretty muddy but not too steep, takes about an hour and half.
I ended up writing a short story about the trail, it's pretty funny if you guys are interested in reading it.

BTW my pics are pre-licensed under a creative commons license so they may be used by others so long as my name is given. Xa'at is fine.

Sure, not a problem. Nice sunset and or sunrise pictures! Heres a few more from winter and summer out this way.....

This is on the frozen Kuskokwim River below Napaskiak at sunrise.

This is upriver from Bethel on the Ice Road.

Looking at the sunrise last fall from the BIA road at the Kilbuck Mountains.

Sundogs!
