What, the F5 or editing your picture with text to get past the bots?
I forget where I learned the F5 trick.

We figured you get in enough trouble without being able to chew people out using photographs.

I had no idea you could do an F5. But why send and picture with invisible text? Unless you send a message to tell someone to look. Or does everyone but me just do an F5? Am I way behind in something?

I normally use the refresh button in IE. I think control F5 forces a complete reload of a web page and updates your internet cache for the page. F5 works im most windows programs, so If you do lots of editing even in some photo programs you can get a redraw of the page your working on.

I'm a graphic designer and this is the first I've heard of it. But it's a clever idea- upload a picture, put it somewhere where it loads, then re-upload the picture and instruct people to clear their caches.
The only downside is some people clear their caches all the time- like everytime they restart their browser, and they might find it before the people you intended it for...

I am not sure why your couldn't see the text originally unless your cache setting in your program don't check very often for updated pages. I would look at that if your using internet explorer.

I am not sure the poster was trying to be discrete. Well so much for 5 minutes of fame.

No, I use firefox. The problem is I have a super-slow internet connection here in the dark ages, and I have trouble getting images to load.

Where was that guy's hometown anyways? It makes members visiting the section wonder what the heck is going on with the poster.

PS... Apparently there are extenuating circumstances that caused BMM to lash out the way he did. It has nothing to do with anyone here in the AK Section.
