Whatever one thought of Ted Stevens, the evidence now suggests yes.

Review & Outlook: The 60th ObamaCare Vote - WSJ.com

This is an opinion article from the Wall Street Journal, but with some reporting in it.
FTA: the report ordered by Judge Emmet Sullivan found that federal attorneys prosecuting the late Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska hid "significant exculpatory evidence which would have independently corroborated [his] defense and his testimony, and seriously damaged the testimony and credibility of the government's key witness."

That may be true but Senator Stevens reminded me of the Chinese saying about beating your children every day, if you don't know why they do. Maybe he wasn't guilty of that but he damn sure was guilty of something.

He was railroaded for the simple fact they waited until after the election to exonerate him.

The pervert Bill Allen was having sex with a minor and the prosecutors used that so he would testify against Stevens with false claims, and has never done time for abusing a minor. Now we have "Baggage" as our Senator and he just about (and may still) bankrupt Anchorage when he was Mayor. Left All sorts of crooked dealings when he left!

The Prosecutors and the DA were as dirty as they ever came. Low down dirty.

Yes, Sen. Stevens was deliberately forced out of office by a corrupt Department of Justice.
