Also Alaska hotels are kind of high priced. So better investment on Outdoor adventure. I don't think many people individuals camp around the town. You could enjoy the wild weather and the views from the big tent.
Sounds like an idea that's right up your alley Robert. You'd fit in perfectly in Unalaska and they would welcome you with open arms. Or open something...

Well, Guys and Dolls, our group is all set to visit the the Aleutians via the ferry from Homer. We are booked at the Grand Aleutian so there is no need for the tent as suggested by Robert. The days has passed when old fa-ts like ourselves tented w/our kids who now are in mostly in their 50s. Again, thanks for all the info. You all have been helpful in your ways.

Well enjoy the trip! It's not the end of the World, but from some of the taller hills, you can see it from there!

Take some Dramamine with you, I don't know what your "Sea Legs" are like, but if there is bad weather, the Ferry will "Bob" like a cork in a washing machine!

Check out the scenery from Dutch to Kodiak on the Trusty Tustemenia. I uploaded the entire chip of pictures so there's some duplication but it was a good time with some sun shining. I don't understand why when I save all the pictures off several flash cards they don't wind up in order on the resulting flash card but here they are.
