My buddy called from Caribou Island on Skilak Lake. Said they are jammin big time at midnight AK time. He has a camera but doesn't know how to use it!

Well he can take a picture in daylight just fine, but has never attempted a night shot of the sky and he has no tripod. But he still needs a slap for calling and teasing me about NL

Nice job Jan. Finding the sweet spot focus on the lens is my biggest trouble. It's so far and in between shooting northern lights I keep forgetting where to set the focus. I'm almost tempted to make some sort of mark on the lens so I can find the spot easier than shoot and check shoot and check. You got some nice red color tho!
