blackzzz01: The land mass around Bethel is kind of soft and low in the ground. Think when after major winter snow storms. The area might get flooded big time. Think area residences should build higher double triple deck houses above the flood line. Also it would be very cool looking new houses in Bethel and with more houses. The real estate prices will fall down. And buy in the culture of weather changes over the years. Making everyone happy and safe.

With the Nome gold rush housing will be near impossible this coming summer. Unless the job provides housing you might want to take a tent.
