I have no idea why gas can't be piped into the interior from one of various points in Alaska. You guys have more gas than Congress. You also have about $40 billion in your oil fund that could be used to build a pipeline. Take a couple of billion out and build away.

I live in WI. All the cows here produce enough methane gas to light up the entire state.

We moved to Homer 25 years ago and natural gas was coming
Now natural gas is on the North Fork rd and goes to Anchor Point and north. If Homer gets gas it will be after the city pays to have the line put in.
I live outside the city about 3/8 mile off the sterling hwy. I will never see any gas. I will still be on oil.
I hope Fbks. gets gas but this pipeline thing has been talked about for a long time.
With apache oil planning to have a well drilled in 2 years in Cook Inlet we will see where they drill. They will be seismic testing within 2-3 miles of the existing gas well on the N. fork rd.

You are right. There aren't any reasons why a natural gas pipeline has not been constructed, except for our legislators in Juneau. Just like our US Congress, our State legislators don't do anything but to work on their own wealth. They have no concerns but to protect their jobs and take care of each other.

Alaska would rather spend millions of dollars just talking about a gas line than doing anything about it.
