I think it should be pretty understandable why an employer wouldn't do much hiring for physical labor jobs via the internet.

Trident hires a lot of it's employees via a third-party company that imports them from out of the country using J1 visas. Alaska minimum wage and plenty of overtime draws them here. Lazy Americans aren't usually impressed by working the slime line for 16 hours a day, 7 days a week for minimum wage when they can make the same amount of money staying wherever they are and just work two full-time minimum wage jobs. Just go to McDonalds and Burger King and get a job at each. Same pay and you'll save yourself the travel costs. Foreigners actually pay a company up to $3,000 for the honor of working at a seafood processing plant and arranging their J1 visa. That's why you're not getting hired.

getting out sourced within the USA? i am not one of those people who are lazy i very much want to work and travel in Alaska and make the money that is out there.
but i think you are correct when talking about most americans
