Well 2 days left and I think NOW is when everything is going to fall apart. I gotta vent before I explode.
Got a rental car so that ours could be worked on,guy says it SHOULD be done Monday. I guess that is what I get for going on SHOULD. Now it will be ready early Tuesday.Don't know what early is just early Tuesday.
Hubby is having a fit because I went and spent a little more on a weekend get together than I was suppose to and also bought a couple of items for the kido's. So he has whined all day.

I have 2 charges on my bank account that just were from cancelled services that I cancelled last month. Now they are showing as pending and the bank can't do anything because they haven't posted.

The person that was suppose to buy our TV has changed their mind now I am stuck at the last minute trying to sell it.

And we spoke to my father in law last night seems his wife is so excited that we are coming up that she invited EVERYONE on her side of the family for a family BBQ so that we can meet them for either Sat or Sun. Now I have a gazillion people to meet that I don't know and except for one will probably never seen again and the only reason we may see the 1 again is because she lives in Delta Junction. So my idea of kicking back and just talking with them and maybe ordering take out is now canned.
We offered to stay in a hotel while there and my father in law became offended, can't offend him since he is the one giving us this opp. So we MUST stay there.

ACK!!! I want to scream

Just breathe! It will be much better once you get on the road north. Fill the bathroom with candles and take a hot bath to relax or something. And beleive it or not...stepping out the back door and screaming at the top of your lungs will help! Do it two or three times for full effect. Your hubby might freak out for an instant so invite him to give it a try once you've explained to him your fine...your just screaming for the heck of it! Sounds like he needs to relax a little too!

He worries about money end of the trip. We have probably more than enough to get up there saved back and we have a credit card with a large limit for an emergency. He is figuring like $2k just for gas and another for eating and hotels. And I spent an extra 100.00 so he is like what if we need that, then what are we going to do.
I told him to chill and sent him to work..LOL

I think I am going to put in a movie for the wee one and grab a glass of wine and hide in the bathroom in a bubble bath.

All moves are stressful. Something always comes up when you're going to move. Inevitable. Don't get too worried about it, it'll work out in one way or another...good luck!

If worse comes to worse and money gets short, you can camp instead of renting rooms along the way. I'll be camping the whole way up when I go, to save money, and by my calculations it'll be saving me a lot of money, but I've always been okay with camping outside. I'm not sure how far your particular trip will be or what kind of MPG the vehicle you're driving gets, but I've estimated that at $3.30 a gal it'll be a little less than $1000 to get from VT to AK, leaving some wiggle room (750 was actually closer but Canada is more expensive so I added some to it to hopefully account for that), but in a light, high MPG vehicle...

I agree with the above psoter, moves are stressful, no matter what.

When I've mvoed from Mississippi to North Dakota or New Hampshire to South Carolina all I brought with me were two suitcases and two boxes of stuff....... I don't worry about money when I move, but about all the smaller things.. have I called the new utility companies.. have I set up phone service.. how far do I live from shopping in town, etc?

Years ago I was migrating back to AK from Arkansas. Planned on camping out and even brought a cooler of food. By the end of day 2, I was in no mood to put up a tent and try to cook on a grill in the dark. I ended up getting a room every night through Canada! It was nice to have a shower, hot meals...and a real bed to sleep in. Of course I was driving a 1951 chevy pickup, and they are the most uncomfortable vehicle to drive 16-18 hours a day!

I am also having a problem with a whinny hubby right now. He doesn't realize I put him in his place yet...I went out to dinner by myself! He went to lunch on Saturday and spent $50 on just himself, so I went to Olive Garden tonight after hearing "i don't care about dinner". He called when I was in the restaurant to see where I was cause he'd laid down to take another nap, I told him I was eating. When I got home he was frying (his favorite) something (steakumms?). Says his stomach is bothering him all day every day but he doesn't eat and he won't listen to "if your not eating your stomach is going to bother you." I'm sick of whinny and we're on vacation!

I hope you are feeling better. Just ignore him. Thats what I'm doing for the time being.

I should just get in the Corvette & drive up with you. I bet my wife would completely freak out.

Her: "I thought you went to the store, where are you?"
Me: "I'm driving through Tok at the moment..."
Her: " "
