bonlewpoe would like to know if anyone has recently used either the 20 mile or 60 mile trails to deadman lake and could give any info on conditions ? IF not I am going out next month and will report on the 20 mile trail from the hot springs assumeing I make it back.

With gear and two people, your looking at about a thousand dollars.

That will be two trips and you pay for the plane to fly both ways... twice.

If you find a guy with a floatplane, he may fly you out cheaper, but for an FBO, their insurance is killing them and fuel is as well.

Good luck... I can just sell you my place, cabin is already built on a lake with a front door view of Mt. McKinley, its about seventy miles south of Deadman and don't have "Through Traffic" to steal your stuff.

I like being there as well, but being down on the Kenai now is a bit of a chore getting out there from here, about 300 air miles.
