But, the flip-side to that is you can be in the dark all the time. One house we rented before buying was nestled in big trees. Great for privacy even though houses were within 50' of us. The problem with the house is we had to have lights on all the time. I remember looking out the window, seeing a bright summer day on the street and we had lights on in the house in order to see. We made sure the house we bought had a sunny exposure.

Definitely something for me to remember. Sounds wonderful, until you're living in it and it's chilly & dark .

Yes, we didn't think anything about it since we moved in at the beginning of winter. Sometime that summer, it dawned on us that we had most of the lights on and it was sunny outside.
