My hubby had a beard for the longest time, then one day he decided to shave the good stuff off! He felt insulted when I told him he looked like a chipmunk that had fell in the bleach...

That's good to know, I have heard that the riding season only lasts 5 months, May-Oct in Alaska. I guess that's for the wusses not us tough nuts. As long as I can cover up and protect from the cold, I'll ride. I have rode here in the winter with the wind chill brining the temps down to single digits, and that is without heated gear. BTW: The big annual Laughlin River Run is this weekend, over 20,000 bikes and about 80,000 people will be in Laughlin this weekend, I'm going down on Friday. The highs are going to be near 100 degrees....YEAH BABY!!! I better enjoy it now. LOL!!!

And to think I only 30 degrees at the house this morning! But the sun is shining today. Could very well hit 60.

I just checked the weather for Homer @ http://www.wunderground.com/US/AK/Homer.html and the highs will be in the mid 50's today with plenty of sunshine. I would definitly be riding in that weather.

Funny, I told someone I was going up to Atigun Pass and he told me to "Wear the fox hat!"

Sorry, had to put that out there.
