Hi, I want to move to Alaska to mine. Which city is the best location for that, and how do I get into it? Anything I should know beforehand; licenses, equipment, experience?

Do you know anything about mining? You could probably start by taking some courses in geology/mineralogy and mining science.

Best place for mining in Alaska....

Well in the ground is a good place to start!

Really... If we had the best place to mine on our secret list, do you really think we would tell anyone? Kinda like a good fishing hole, you tell people and they come with their friends and fish it out, leave trash, and cut down the trees to make campfires that they don't tend and burn the place down.

Nome is a good place to mine for gold if you have a boat that barely floats and you have a good snorkel.

Just imagine if we Alaskans who have been living here for numerous years would know the best places for mining? Does the OP think that we would just go to work at the local stores in town instead of mining?
