Sex offender who have moved over there, maybe because of how remote the place is?
Escaping from the laws on others states maybe?

We have laws here as well.

If you're a sex offender in some of the remote parts of the state, you'd better keep it very quiet. If you're registered, you'd better move.

I don't think there are any sex offenders in Trapper Creek, for instance, but I recall when one tried to move there last year. He ended up thinking better of that idea.

Hi from Virginia. There are two mobile home and RV parks in North Pole, AK. It seems to be a lot for a town of its size. I suspect that the sex offender background limits the kind of jobs and pay these people can attain, and as a result they have to settle for lowest cost accomodations possible. When the online mapping became available in Virginia, I was surprised at how many of them seemed to be clustered downtown in and around the trailer park in downtown Richmond.

The city of North Pole is inside the small dotted black line near the bottom of the screen. The property concentrations in the arc above is Badger Road. At least half of badger road is called North Pole but doesn't come up on the population count, but may have a 99705 zip that does show up on the register. The squares are one square mile.

Fairbanks City limits Start on the left side of the screen.

All I know is last month I road tripped through North Pole (yes we stopped at santa's house) and it was very nice looking from what I saw. New road work being done in the town (with a roundabout of all things, like Sweden). The main highway running through the area was great also. I liked it.

That would make a lot of sense and a great explanation to the gross ratio. So if 99705 actual population is far greater that 1828 the 57 offenders would be in proportion ....if the actual population is around 6000 that would be a 105-1 ratio and by the look of that map i could be buy that the population is around that number. Thanks for the in depth help/research I think we are going to have a great time in Alaska...We are so tired of Las Vegas.......
