The people living in Alaska that we ran across(figuratively speaking of course), driving around, not a ship, were friendly, humorous, easy to talk with, answered our questions with smiles and humor, and, in general, treated us as valued guests, not interlopers.
They musta been summertime help from the lower 48.

You wouldn't believe all the questions on Alaska on my way down through Canada in August, once they saw the Ak plates, questions never stopped! Of course, I answered all their questions as best that I could. I ran into people moving to Fairbanks and Anchorage, I even left them my email address. Of course, they never emailed me about the move. I'm sorta the opposite of everyone else, I want to see the southern states, I have around 33 left to visit. Plans are on for a April drive down to the southern states.

Default Still laughing

By the way has the escapement quota been reached yet on the tourists???? I have my tourist liscence and tags all ready. This year we are going to donate the meat to the Polar Bear Relief Group. With all the global warming they can't get to the ice for sealions and such, so we will have to suppliment the feed. This will also help the Orcas![/quote]

OK - sorry - just stumbled upon this and can't stop laughing! Thanks for the giggle!
