Default Snow!!!!

Yes Friends and Visitors the "S" word is no longer banned!

We have SNOW.... Glorious SNOW in Fairbanks. This started during the night and has been comming down on and off all day!. The roads are slick with ICE! Towtruck drivers are singing a merry tune, Firetrucks and ambulance chasers are all in a tizzy as all the new commers meet eachother and unwary oldtimers at the intersections, store parking lots, and bottom of hills!

Why so gleeful you may ask? Well they have all weekend to practice up before Work traffic begins. What other fun can you have with a 3500 lb vehicle and lots of snow and ice...... Bodies, powerslides and 4 wheel drifts in 4 wheel drive! So go out find a huge parking lot and get your winter driving leggs on!

I had a text message from a friend in Fairbanks this am who said it was awefully pretty there with the fresh snow. And remember...you can always throw it in reverse to get that Starsky and Hutch 180 power slide at slick and busy intersections!

It snowed just about 10 minutes ago here in Bethel, enough to cover up the newly paved highway lines. We have a bike path along the highway here and I figured the first snow all the cars would be driving in it and I along with everyone else was right. Go figure.

Tell me how many bicycles in Bethel? Enough for a bike path?

They are putting them everywhere here, and banned the snowmachines in the winter. Seems a waste of $ to me at times.

Weee!! Snow!
We had our first snow where I am in Idaho last week, but it didn't really stick. Any day now for something that does!
I was supposed to go diving on Friday, but my buddy called to cancel last minute because the water was down to 50... It had been 60 the week before! That's pretty significant for the largest lake in Idaho and one of the deepest in the country! Nevertheless, it's drysuit weather now, so we've gotta head south if we want to dive.

The snow we got yesterday here in Idaho has stuck, since it's supposed to be 50 degrees today it's going to be a sloppy mess

Is Bonneville county right on the border w/ Utah? The place we're going to dive is called Bonneville Seabase, in northern Utah...

Cool Let it snow!

It snowed last night in Chugiak and Eagle River around midnight, for about 30 minutes, but melted the instant it hit the ground. It won't be long now.
