I bet Met can relate!

It appears that they are going to mandate an Observer to be on boats between 40' to 50' now. This is so insane, a boat that size has barely the room for the crew, now they have to make room for someone to draw a paycheck drinking coffee and being in the way under the guise they are protecting the Halibut harvest!

Someone with an "Official" additude on a boat, you have no privacy on to start with, it isn't going to fair out well. Going to be a lot of accidental "overboard" drills!

Use to be the saying when Alaska was owned by Russia, "The Czar is far" referring that Moscow was very far away, but now we have the "Czar" in the next bunk.

The Wolf population has dropped on Denali National Park to the lowest number ever. There is no hunting or trapping involved there, but now the Czar's want to close down hunting "outside" the Park to increase the numbers in the Park. These people are morons, the natural cycles of animal populations are in full effect in the park's Ecosystem, and they can't grasp nature does its thing as animals increase and decrease naturally as food comes and goes in cycles. Too many predators and they starve after they killed too much prey!

Ok, I vented about stupidity, good thing I'm not started on the new healthcare crap... Maybe later!

wtf, now they're putting halibut cops on boats. Halibut is federally regulated because of international treaty; they sure botched that.

Halibut is fished out for now; everyone knows that. It's not the legit boat owners they need to be going after; it's the people on the halibut black market. I find it amusing in a sick way when there are halibut cops down on the dock annoying the fish cutters, yet there's a hand printed sign at the liquor store bulletin board offering halibut for sale that gives a local phone number.

More halibut violations exist with the sports guys, btw. It's easier for them.

Yeah, if you have the ability to take care of yourself. Verses to lazy to work when they have the ability, then yeah.

I agree; those who can't pay should do us all a favor and die.

Unfortunately, the old, the young and the disabled are increasingly being labelled as "lazy" by some.

Yeah, we should be returning to the robber baron days. Children should be working when they hit 3 or 4, and old people need to be working till they drop. 12 hour days for all and $1 an hour. All hail the almighty mammon.
