Too much Alaska Airlines. F-ing sharks....they jacked up their price of a return ticket to $700...don't ask why I didn't get a round trip...all I can say about that fiasco is that I was lucky book a flight at all with the internet connection out at work being all screwed up because of some jerk running his own server on his laptop...I should have lit the thing on fire....next time....

$400 round trip from Bethel to Anchorage, now you know why I don't go as much as I used to.

I find it interesting that they were saying OH ME OH MY were struggling after 911 but now they are all across the country with flights and hubs! I haven't been able to find a 20k milage ticket in years. So gave up using their card and just buy when I want to fly. Seriously thinking I may drive the next time. Been 20 years since I was last on the highway. Think I want a motor home first.

From now on when I go Outside I'm taking the ferry...which might actually be a little more expensive but at least I won't be giving my money to AA sharks...besides they have better wine on the ferry than the swill they expect you to drink on the plane.

Yea, where do they find that wine. I have never ever enjoyed any wine served on a plane. Reminds me of the cheap chanpagne at the brunches the fancy hotels serve.

Xa'at, I might be mistaken, but a heli ride from ANC to Juneau or FAI to Juneau would involve a few fuel stops. Most helicopters have no real legs as far as air time or distance.
