No, I'm at KYUK here in Bethel. Whenever we have the Barrow teams down here for basketball, we broadcast the game from here to KBRW.

I guess you're not from SE, you wouldn't remember summer 05... It was hot. Very hot. No rain whatsoever for like a week and a half. Obviously no one has air conditioning, so we had to find alternate ways to keep cool... My cousin and I went and swam in Mendenhall Lake and a bunch of parka wearing tourists took pictures of us...
You asked earlier about my costume. I wore black slacks and a black collared oxford-like shirt (dress code), plus cat ears, a scarf/tail, painted on whiskers, and a ribbon around my neck like a collar. I was told that I looked quite dashing. One lady asked if I was wearing a wig, then commented "wow, you have a lot of hair" upon learning that it was indeed my real hair.

Sounds like a lovely and dashing ensemble!
As to summer '05, wierd?!! Why would they take pics of y'all swimming???
Not only weird but a little rude!
Of course I remember the first summer I worked up here and folks were swimming in the lake at camp and in the lake in town (Wasilla) and I admit that I thought them quite mad because that water was COLD!

Well, it could have been that there were iceburgs in the water and they wanted pictures of genuine Alaskans swimming amongst the ice floes, but I think they were just stupid.
