I have started to think of where I would like to retire to in several years. If I plan to do south central like Seward or Keni I better buy the land soon, sounds like it might all get bought up by the new commers.
I have been thinking that I like Alaska but doubt I would stay here forever. Well, okay, I don't want to stay anywhere that long. But I would love to have a place up here and just go back and forth.
(is that a no no?)

Who knows.

I should check into Wasilla and such. And I have to get to Fairbanks, in the summer, lol. Maybe fall.

I am always looking for the next place. I like new people, places and things. AND if you're lucky you make friends where ever you go

SO you don't plan to retire in Fairbanks, huh?

We have our share of snowbirds

You should come to Fairbanks, twice, once in late Feburary early March for the Ice festival, Then in mid June to see why we endure the winter!

I used to think I would retire here, but most of the kids have moved out of state, and I need to decide cost wise if I will be able to afford the winter heat. I have been thinking of down towards Rance's way. Maybe this summer I will find a weekend to go to Seward and the surrounding area. Maybe summer in Fairbanks at the lake and winter in Seward or south, now that may just work.

February or March, huh?? Well, I would love the Ice Festival but how cold are we talking here? I swear last Feb/March here, I was darn cold. Need better cold weather stuff.

I like Seward. Been there a few times, I would think it would be good for retiring. I'm sure by the time you are ready to retire you'll have it all figured out.

Just cold enough for you to get a taste of cold. Mainly at night. Then it warms up about 40 or 50 deg. during the day.
