Oh hell, I just got a little red neg. rep dot for some such, boo freakin' hoo is all I can say. To whoever gave it to me, ya ain't gonna stop me from saying whatever the hell I want so shove your little red dot, eh?

Good for you, Xa'at, about the salmon in the restaurant thing. It's unbelievable how many so called quality restaurants down south serve farmed salmon. They really can't get much freshly caught wild fish from here though but that doesn't mean they should serve that farmed bs either. Oil ***** Bush was in Portland at the Hilton a few years ago and there was a thing in one of the trade publications about how the salmon they made for his dinner came from SE. Too bad it didn't come from a certain processor....

Nope. Just gathering logs for the cabin out on the island. The last of the big beetle kill in this area. They were just cutting and burning them. I pulled in this morning with my chain saw and offered to do all the cutting for 40 or 50 logs that I will haul off. So I'm working 40 hours this week cutting and limbing a road right of way, in exchange for the logs. I think I got a fair deal. It's been a few years since I lugged around a dang heavy chainsaw. It also took me a few to get my aim down again.

Hmmmm. I don't think the man van will pull them over the ice to the lake.... How do you plan to get them there?

I might need ideas for my cabin rebuild. She is pretty tired.

Well if/when the lake freezes over I'll pull them with a snowmachine and a makeshift sled. Rig up a block and tackle and use the snowmachine to pull them up onto the bank and skid them up to the foundation. I'm just gonna crib them up for the winter and do the actual assembly next summer. Should be a ton of fun. Not!
