My life sucks...
I'm just getting back to the office. Safety Leadership Team meeting. My head hurts. A drilling rig I have been very much involved with since '99' had gone 5 years with no lost time accidents. A couple days ago a new guy hurt his knee on some stairs and was sent to town. Back to zero on the days with no LTA's. Crew moral has gone down the toilet. Not to mention the paperwork involved.
I left my camera at home this time...and have had nothing but awesome sun beams through clouds, fresh snow on the rolling plains, close ups of red fox, the most killer full moon this evening, etc...so I'm kickin my self for that, tomorrow I have 2 extra long meetings tossed into my already meeting filled day, I miss my girlfriend, I feel fat, aaaaannnd...I still have a couple hours of poster making printing and laminating to do. I could really use a frickin ice cold cheap beer.

Well, dang!!
Put that way I guess you do think you life sucks!! Wish I could help but I would only screw up whatever you're working on, unfortunately can't get your camera to you (feelin' your pain nothin' worse than seeing a great pic and not being able to take it), and meetings bite!!
On the upside, You have a wonderful girlfriend (some of us got jack), You take great pics (some of us are totally envious), Ya got a job (okay so do most of us but you get my point), and the sun will come out tomorrow!! Don't make me sing the tomorrow song or keep on the sunny side, I know lots of happy songs!!! My favorite is the Pebble and BamBam "let the sun shine in". Don't worry, be happy

Okay, as far as morale, you want me, Xa'at and Metla to come entertain?? Might not help morale but it would give you something to laugh at We could bring you a beer

I'm working in Kuparuk for the drilling department. The only thing I have to do with pipelines is creating an avenue to get oil out of the ground and into them!
Yes the sun will come up tomorrow, I'll get the paperwork done eventually, but my sweet girl friend will still be about 7000 miles away.

I got up at 5:30 to look for a cat gone "walk-about" (yes, Lily is now home and safe), and since I was already up I signed on to see what you guys are up to. I just read through this thread and I have to say you guys are HILARIOUS! Thank you all for the joy you gave me this morning.
As an aside to Rance, you are NOT fat, you are you! And as someone else mentioned, even though she is far away, you have a girlfriend who is thinking of you as much as you are thinking of her. I know it is corny, but when I was in Desert Storm, my wife and I would try to take a look at the sky at the "same time" and then write a quick note to each other (pre-email days) and it seemed to help.
