Nostodomas once said that the last great war will be started by the eagle from the west.
That's Bush, trying to push his beliefs on an area that doesn't want them. |

How does the Hillary Clinton campaign stand in Alaska? By most accounts you have a credible, hard-working woman governor that seems well liked. But she is a local and a Republican - two things that Clinton is not. Is it possible that Clinton could get the Alaska nomination for the party?

As a repoublican, I am not happy with the direction my party has taken in the past 8 years. I am also pro-choice (for other people, not me), and am definitely against the alliance of fundamentalist beliefs with a right wing aganda. However, I am not a Clinton fan, either. The woman is a little too strident for my taste, and I tend toward a much more centrist view on national campaigns. JMO, of course.
As a military retiree, I have issues with the current state of affairs in the middle east, and am not a supporter of our war in Iraq. Please note that recently retired command officers seem to have the same reservations (after retirement). Civilians don't understand that the military cannot voice personal opinions in public while serving. As retired personnel, they are entitled to voice whatever opinions they might hold. Strange how many seem to be against the Iraqi incursion after they leave actice duty, no? Can you say common sense? |

I deeply regret that our present system of government rewards those who lie to us, the people, most convincingly. There is also no means of checks and balances that would allow some form of retribution from us, the people, if a politician does not live up to his campaign promises - sometimes,.... I almost wish tar and feathers had not lost their place in the lexicon of disgruntlement. D

Glitch articulated my thoughts pretty well. Like Bud, I think the Constitution Party is looking better than anything else out there. I'm a registered Undecided/Independent (don't remember which) because I vote for the person, not the party.

Number 1... It's sad to see that in your opinion, Alaska doesn't care about terror as long as your not a target. Gee, I guess Al-Qaida doesn't know about that little pipeline you got up there. Number 2... Do lobbyists really just bribe Republicans? Do you really need me to answer that question? Oh, and sorry that God is important to us evil right wingers. How rude of us!! |

![]() Okay, first off, Al-Qaida isn't going to attack us, and I'll tell you why. With all those large cities, like, say New York, out there, it would be rather pointless to go bombing bush communities. More bang for your buck, to employ a rather insensitive cliché. Secondly, I don't know what republicans do half the time, and frankly I don't care. There have been some great republican leaders, but the current administration is on it's way to making "republican" one of the 8 dirty words, which is a shame. For that matter, I'm glad god is important to you. At its best, religion can make one more humble, more caring, and more forgiving of her fellow man. But as I've learned, the conservative take on god seems to be denying honest citizens their fundamental right to marry, and I'm sorry but that is evil. |

Islamic fundamentalist terrorists have the need to pray at least five times every day. During the winter there is as much as 3.5 hours of daylight and as little as no daylight for 3 months at a time. So they wouldn't have any time to pray in the winter, and they would be praying all day and night in the summer. Leaving them no time for their terrorist activities.

and at specific points around the pipeline we have ham, bacon and baby back ribs surrounding it, it should be fine (they don't eat pork)
