Default Another Relocating Question...

Ok, I have read all the what to expect answers. Though I haven't seen anything from anybody in the Electrical field. Could anyone give us some info on passing the Alaska Fitness Test for Journeyman Wireman? How hard is the test, waiting period for taking the test, jobs available, etc....

My husband , 3 kids and I are heading up the middle of Febuary. We currently are in Pennsylvania. So if anyone could give us some advice about crossing the border in a Uhaul, or is it cheaper and easier to ship a P.O.D.. Thanxs so much.

I work in a non-union electrical/power generation shop, so I couldn't tell you about tests. Check with the IBEW here in Anchorage.

Alaska Electrical code is based on the National Electrical Code.

You might try here for starteres.. Mechanical Inspection Section

These folks can answer most of your questions.

IBEW 1547 may be of some assistance also.
